CANCER

A variety of different cancer cells require fatty acid metabolites to spread from the primary site to the rest of the body (metastasis). Research has shown that rampant invasive cancers are rich in COX 2 and LOX 5 and 12 fatty acid substrates ( COX = Cyclo0oxygenase LOX=Lipoxygenase). Cancer cells use these substrates to attach and detach themselves when spreading throughout the body. Certain anti-oxidants affect the production of these fatty acids metabolites and are associated with cancer remission. Thus a reduction in stress by meditation and or dietary change can lead to an alteration in fatty acid metabolism and immune system response and a remission in the cancer.

Unfortunately a diagnosis of cancer, like a positive HIV test, will increase stress levels and produce an environment conducive to increased proliferation of cancer cells.

An ideal treatment for cancer, needs to reduce stress levels and needs to restore the immune system's normal responses and the cellular metabolism of fatty acids to a normal profile.

A number of natural food components have been shown to produce mild euphoria and Peaks research in Psoriasis and HIV has shown that it is possible to alter the immune response and the cellular metabolism of fatty acids.

Thus the potential to hold cancer in a remission state is feasible. We are currently designing a cellular trial with Melanoma to see if the theory works in Laboratory Cell lines(See HIV Cancer ). Subject to results we will organize a trial. Peak has a number of formulations that we believe will show some activity. The best aspect of this approach for the person living with cancer is that there are likely to be no side effects.

Peak will publish results as they become available. Please e-mail if you think that this approach may be helpful to your particular circumstances.
